Wednesday Series: Scaredy Cat

This series began with wanting to do some moodier black and white line samples. Not so much of a narrative story in mind here... maybe I should come up with one. That would be a good exercise...

Very moody. I think there's a lot of story there, you just haven't found the words to it yet.

Makes me want to try something with linework and texture!

Nice!

i really like this one, especially how it contrasts from your last series. the texture with the cross-hatching definitely lends to the mood. and my favorite is the black cat, the way you have it in the frame but not, it's there but it gives the impression it creeped up on her. very nice.

I think you may be right, Gail... thanks!

And thanks, Christine. It's that cropping thing again-- trying to remember my design skills! They really help a lot with composition. (Though maybe that's just two ways of describing the same thing??)

Thanks, Alicia!

Yes, Jen is fine. Actually that's what most people call me (with one "n.") Just never "Jenny!"

Wow, that's beautiful. Well, if it is not really 'narrative' it sure feels like it. How gorgeous is your work.

Thanks, Ryan! Yeah-- I think I'm going to have to ponder this one a bit more...

Hi Kathy-- Thanks so much for your kind comment!
