Another finished piece from ages ago. Funny, I didn't do a refined sketch of this piece and tried painting it faster than usual... and I'm happier with how it turned out. Hmmm... note to self-- don't think, just do...
This is beautiful! Love the colors, specially of the rocks of dirt beside the road. This illustration is so free.. well just like you painted it.. fast and free and came out great! :o)
"Don't think, just do..." I'll have to write that one on a piece of paper in my studio to remind me.
This one looks great. He actually looks like he is going even faster than the sketch. Maybe the value distribution. Also, I did not notice the houses in the first one. Now that I go back and see it again, I do. That little bit really adds to the piece.

Wow, very cool! There is such a spontaneity and "movement" in this illustration! Sometimes it really is better to work faster and not labor over a piece. I am learning this myself.

I love this one, it's so full of movement and emotion! It feels dangerous but exciting too. Really wonderful.
i absolutely love this piece. the linear strokes with the blues in the rocky landscape really adds a sense of motion to this. very very nice!

I'm always a little frightened of going fast on a horse - big chicken that I am!
I'm working faster now too. My best time is .05 seconds.
