More Fall

Well, obviously I've been doing more sketching lately than finished pieces. It's just easier to fit in between map work and other ongoing projects. Also, I find sketching more relaxing and enjoyable than anything. Time to take these babies to the next level though. I'll post them as I get to them.

I like seeing your sketches Jennifer. It shows how you think about design.

Thanks, Frank. I sometimes hesitate to post them so rough. But I think they have more energy that way, too-- something I try to hold on to.

i really like the way you compose your drawings similar to the way you paint...i can almost envision this in color. like that skewed tree. i love to rake leaves...sick obsession i know, but it's a great workout.

Me too, Christine. Actually I like doing yardwork in general... once I get going it's hard to stop!

And thanks about the sketch. Funny, even though my finished pieces don't have a "graphic" look, I find those design skills come in handy when composing.

Thank, you, Helene! Yes, sketching is very relaxing. :-)

I love the sketches! This is the same reason why most of mine end up on the blog that way. I tend to get a bit stressed during the coloring. :P

Look forward to the colored versions!

Tom-- Me too! The perfectionist in me comes out when I'm doing the finishes and I end up feeling all tight with them. Got to keep working past that...
