Oh this was fun to watch Jen! I think is great. Books ARE the perfect gift.

Unfortunately here in Venezuela, there is not much of a reading culture. With kids is even worse. Not many kids books either.. it's sad.

But I still go out and buy kids books to give as gifts all the time. Whenever my kids are invited to birthday parties that is what we give them, a book. I'm sure that is the only book the birthday kid gets from the pile of gifts they have on the table or box (here they put a huge box and you drop your gift there) but at least there is one in there.

On another note about John Lithgow. I just love him. I saw him once on a small New York restaurant. He was dining by himself and was writing something on a little book. He looked so sophisticated. Had a white turtle neck and an open scarf . I just wanted to go over there and hug him. Hahaha of course that wouldn't of been very appropriate. LOL. He is so tall and seems so gentle. He is such a terrific and smart actor. :o)

I just though, do you mind if I post this too? Today is friday Movie on my blog and I thought it would be nice to help spread the word about buying books.. We all know this economy could use a boost. ;o)

This is perfect. Of course, I already believed in the message, but what fun to see familiar name after name charm me into buying even more books!

Wow, that's too bad, Alicia! I'm glad you're spreading the message, though.

And yes, by all means-- post this too! :-)

Hi Sara-- Right-- like I need another excuse to buy books! (I've been telling my husband they make good insulation for the house...)
