Monday Map (A Day Late): Denver to Aspen

I spent the 3-day weekend outside in the mild air and rich autumn colors, away from the television, the radio, the internet, politics. It was a refreshing and much needed break.

Sometimes having some precious time like that is as necessary as water...glad you managed to take some days off for the important things.

Another winner!
Ahh.. a break from all that. Good for you. I can't wait till November so I can relax about politics. I feel that this election is so important that I have a hard time not following it closely. Really stresses me out.
Maybe I need another painting trip. I did not follow the news for the whole 10 days.

Thanks, Alicia!

And thanks, Gretel. Yes, hard to remember sometimes how necessary that time is. Hey-- I really like your idea of gathering berries and making your own wine. Now that looks relaxing! ;-)

Thanks, Frank. Wow-- how did you manage to go 10 whole days? I'm totally stressed by it, too, yet am compelled to watch. I really hope we have some good news on November 5th...

this one even has an autumn feel, wonderfully warm palette! sounds like you had a relaxing weekend too! Good for you! i myself am addicted to politics, i live on MSNBC, even while i was away. during the day i go from mickey mouse clubhouse (shelby of course) to MSNBC. it's terrible, i'm worked up about this election all the time right now.

Glad you had a great weekend!

Me too, Christine. It's all I can do not to post about it every day. I might break down before November... what an interesting contrast-- mickey mouse/MSNBC...

Thanks, Vivian!

Yeah, me too. I watch and read like a moth to a flame.
I hope that everybody is paying as much attention and that everyone votes.

tell me about it! i never miss a vote but i am fired up even more this year. my husband and i are both self-employed so we really feel what all is going on.
