Pre-Winter Sketch

I'm getting a bit ahead of myself with the seasons here. This is from that page of messy doodles I posted a few weeks ago... can you tell which one it is? I'm still trying to decide how to crop it-- a silhouetted edge? Or perhaps a cropped square would be more dynamic? We'll see...

There are more in the works, but maybe I'll do some ghosts and goblins first.

Today I'm going on a children's-book-related field trip-- will post more tomorrow!

Lovely swooshing movement! You may be a bit before time with the subject, but we don't get much snow here anyway so it's always a fantasy to me! ;)

oh how much fun! i love snow, so it's ok with me to get a little ahead. bottom row, 3rd from left for sure.

i like when you silo the edges, it's more like i'm part of the scene than the harsh crop which seems to close it off for me. especially since this is one of action.

This is going to be a fun illustration Jen, I can already see it!! It's the one before the last one on the sketches.

A children's book related field trip??? Oh take me, take me!! :o)

Can't wait to see you post more about it, have fun!

Thanks, Jess!

I love snow too, Christine. Though maybe not as much in March... I think I will go with the silo'd edge. That was my first instinct, but I wanted to try with the crop.

Yep, Alicia-- you and Christine got it right! And too bad Venezuela isn't closer!!! ;-)
