Snow Dogs

This is a rough sketch. I'd say it's pretty true to life-- here's my model:

(Yes, she runs really fast. She smiles, too!)

I love smiling dogs! One scared me at the lake last week when I was walking my dog but the owner explained her special ability and then I thought it was great. Like Wynne Dixie! Wonderful drawing, so full of swirling motion! 'm adding you to my blog roll, I'm sorry I haven't done it sooner!

Love it! My sister used to have a Dalmatian that smiled too!

Eric- Thanks, that would be wonderful! Angie (our smiling dog) is really sweet as pie, but she can be intimidating when you first meet her.(Like, uh... you may fear for your life...)

Gail- Thanks, too! I'm wondering if Dalmatians are the only breed that smiles.

Thanks, Barbara! You'd never guess how much she sheds. We call it velcro-fur. :-)

How cute!! Both the illo and the dalmatian! Yes they shed like crazy.. I think labs and dalmatians are the worst shedding breeds. She is very cute :o)

Not just Dalmatians. A friend had a Greyhound who smiled. Literally in response to your smile, it was the funniest thing! Another friend has a terrier mix, when they first got him she'd apologize for him snarling quietly. I told he's not snarling, look at his tail wag. He's smiling! she loves to tell that story now.
