What? It's August, and I haven't blogged about my vegetable garden since March? Well, here we go then:
First, there were radishes and baby spinach.

Then, snap peas, snow peas, and parsley.
Mountains, and I do mean mountains, of zucchini.
Lettuce and Italian broad beans.
Pecks o' purple peppers!
Zucchini, a.k.a. "baseball bat."
A plethora; and attack of the killer tomatoes begins.
And more tomatoes. Lots of tomatoes. Lots and lots of tomatoes...Next up: Kale Invasion.

Lots of freezing, Suzanne... in fact I'm almost out of space! I haven't tried canning yet but am thinking about it.

To think...we live in the same town and my backyard looks like a barren wasteland! I'm so focused on writing in my spare time...I'd probably do better to pursue the art of digging, knitting, drawing and the like! Forest from the trees kind of thing! So great you set yourself free to play, Jen! It shows in your work!
Thanks, Gael! You'd be surprised-- you get a lot of thinking/planning done when you're gardening. Kind of a moving meditation. Must say though, I've only had enough time & energy to focus on the veggies. My flowers are "meh!"
Wow, what a fruitful garden. this is the very best time of year to begin a vegan diet (as I have recently). You must have a bright green thumb. Nice blog!

WOW! Very impressive!
We grew 8 little cherry tomatoes total. Each tomato cost us about $5. (I bought a fancy topsy turvy ceramic planter for Father's Day...)

Mmmmmmm, my mouth is watering! These look delicious. I've never had a purple pepper before, but perhaps I can talk my husband into growing them...
