I like to do highly detailed work first thing in the morning, before I've put in my contact lenses, when I can hunch up close to pen and paper and see clearly.
After a while it all starts to look like random marks of abstract ink. Time for more coffee.
That's funny...people often wake up blurry- eyed...you are the opposite. Nice that you can see small details without your contacts for a while.
