    I actually read it better more than anything else-- unfortunately there aren't very many French speakers around here to practice with. (But luckily I get Paris Match via Canada!) I am kind of a foreign language fanatic. ;-)

  6. Why did the late Victorians early/ 20th century have a thing for frogs?
    Froggie would a woo-ing go
    Toad of Toad hall etc etc.

  7. As regards speaking French.
    I failed French O level then went to France and passed it.
    Now I speak it everyday - horribly badly - the Moroccans don't seem to mind.
    I wouldn't dare speak it in Paris.......
